An independent agency directory by Shubham Bansal

Agency shortlists, minus the nonsense.

Find out what an agency actually does, who it is built for, what it may cost and which claims hold up before you book the sales call.

Why I built this

The shortlist was the problem.

I run The Cited Club, so researching agencies, tools and recommendation pages is part of my work. I kept running into the same problem: many "best agency" lists were written by an agency that put itself first, pricing was hard to compare, and old articles still recommended firms that had been acquired or had disappeared.

B2B Buyer Lab grew out of that research. It is the directory I wanted: a place to understand the market, compare credible options and spot the questions you still need to ask. The sources matter, but they are here to support your decision, not turn the site into a spreadsheet with a homepage.

How to use the lab

Get to a better first call.

This is not a magic leaderboard. Use it to build context, narrow the field and walk into agency conversations with sharper questions.

  1. 01

    Choose the work

Start with the service or platform you need, then narrow by location when local market knowledge matters.

  2. 02

    Read for fit

Look at services, client profile, engagement model and ownership. A strong agency can still be wrong for your brief.

  3. 03

    Check the proof

Use partner directories, named case studies, pricing signals and source dates to separate evidence from positioning.

  4. 04

    Build your shortlist

Compare two or three plausible firms, note what is still unknown and use those gaps to shape the first call.

Start with the work you need done.

Browse 21 categories across search, marketing, platform partners and technology. The directory is alphabetical while the first buyer guides and comparisons are being researched.

The publishing desk

Lists that help you choose, not just scroll.

Next come the editorial layers: what agencies actually deliver, how their models differ, what they cost and which type of buyer each one suits.

In research

The best GEO agencies for B2B companies

A buyer-led list based on delivery model, proof, pricing signals and fit, not whoever published the article.

Coming next

What a GEO agency actually costs

Retainers, projects, minimums and the questions to ask before signing a six-month engagement.

Planned

AEO software or a GEO agency?

Where tools help, where services help and when paying for both is unnecessary.

Planned

Agency comparisons that explain the trade-offs

Side-by-side pages for buyers choosing between two credible options, with fit and limitations made explicit.

Behind each profile

What I check before I publish.

The process is public so you can judge the work, challenge a fact and see where the evidence is still thin.
